Being the daughter of well-known W.A. musician Bill Rogers, who has played with such Australian music royalty as Cold Chisel and Dragon, Billie has enjoyed a childhood exposed to an eclectic mix of blues, country, reggae, soul and rock. It is little wonder then that Billie decided to arm herself with guitar, harmonica and pen, and create her own unique songs. She has since developed her own brand of soulful country music which has been likened to that of Norah Jones or Emmy-Lou Harris. Her solid musical education clearly shows in the choice of covers she mixes into her set list, from artists such as Bob Dylan and Tom Waits .Billie has a natural stage presence and confidence in her vocal delivery that is unusual in a musician of only 25 years of age, and it compliments her original, power-country numbers. Look out for Billie Rogers as she makes her way up the musical ladder.
Blackhart & Strangelove is based around the husband and wife duo of Laura Wendling (vocals) and Mark
Dixon, (multi-instrumentalist and songwriter) from Fremantle, Western Australia. Originally started as a recording project in 2007, the result was an EP entitled “Don’t Set Yourself On Fire”. Although most of the instruments are played by Mark (aka "the Johnny Strangelove Orchestra"), some notable musicians also lent their considerable talents to these sessions including Martyn Casey (the Bad Seeds), Ben Franz (the Waifs), and Angus Diggs (Mia Dyson, Jeff Lang). The EP received critical aclaim (you can read some abbreviated reviews here), and in 2008 the song “She Wasn’t Sorry” was licensed to the “Cue Fashion Winter ‘08 Campaign” and a video featuring Vogue covergirl Megan Collinson from New York was shot for broadcast in Australia. Blackhart & Strangelove have played more than 200 shows in the last couple of years, including a six week tour of the US, and are still gigging on a regular basis. A new CD is scheduled for release in March 2012.

"The world and emotions seen from the eyes of someone who doesn't see it the way everybody else does" Tim Gordon began writing as an outlet to express himself in a way that he always found difficult to replicate in conversation. With his honest perception of human interaction conveyed by lullaby melodies and juxtaposed by heartfelt wails and brash guitar tones, Tim captivates his audience and draws them into his world. His early influences in Beck and Jeff Buckley, blended with the sounds of Kurt Vile and Bon Iver, direct both the mood and the delivery of Tim's songs into beautiful narratives. Watching Tim Gordon perform live eliminates the crowd around you, and puts you in a space of your own where feelings and thoughts collide together in a mix of nostalgia and ambitions.
